This solicitation is for the removal and replacement of flooring, drywall, and baseboards for the Louisiana Department of Military Affairs (DMA) located at Jackson Barracks Building 7241 / Cottage 94 7241 E. Jackson Dr., New Orleans, Louisiana 70117. The job is to be performed in accordance with the enclosed scope of work and specifications. Please see attachments for information about insurance, builder's risk, bond, specifications, jobsite visit, and contractor's license requirements. Please print all attachments to ensure all documents related to this solicitation are reviewed prior to bidding. All documents associated with this solicitation should be included in bidder's submission. Any vendor intending to submit a bid must have at least one duly authorized representative attend a mandatory jobsite visit. R.S. 37:2165 A (1), a Contractors' License Number in the appropriate classification(s) such as building construction must appear on the bid opening envelope on all projects in the amount of $50,000.00 or more (and $1.00 or more if hazardous materials are involved). Failure to do so shall remove the bid from consideration. In accordance with La. R.S. 37:2165 C, anyone objecting to the above classification(s) must send a certified letter to both the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors and the Office of State Procurement. The letter must be received no later than 10 working days prior to the day on which the bid is to be opened.
