Summary Lewis County is looking for a qualified vendor to provide Solid core, Pre-finished, Pre-hung interior wooden Door/Window/Trim package for the new Community Development Building according to the construction manual, specs, and plan. Doors and windows are to include glass as specified in the door schedule and window schedule attached. Background Lewis County has been purchasing historic buildings with the goal of creating a "County Campus" downtown Chehalis, with the intent of better consolidating County Government buildings and staff to improve accessibility while rejuvenating the Historic Downtown area. This plan when executed will provide a closely knit series of county owned and operated facilities, that provide a central hub, allowing Lewis County citizens to find and access a majority of County services within walking distance of each other. Lewis County has assumed the role of General Contractor, overseeing any and all 3rd party vendors utilized in the preservation/rejuvenation of these historic buildings. Lewis county is looking for the help of local trade specific vendors to make this goal a reality. By utilizing the skillset of the best tradesman available, we can oversee these projects, while ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and quality, while simultaneously leveraging construction funds for the greatest result possible. Question Submission Deadline: March 22, 2024, 1:00pm Lewis County is requesting vendor bids to produce and provide prefinished, pre-hung, solid core doors, windows with wooden frames, and matching 1"x 2.5" trim per the construction plans and manuals for the Community Development Building. Color to be directed by owner. These doors and windows shall be complete with 1/4" tempered glass. Scope and specifications Vendor to produce/provide and deliver pre-finished, pre-hug, interior solid core wood doors, wood jambs, interior windows, and door and window trim and casings as called out on the provided Door and Window Schedule, per the construction plans and manuals for the Community Development Building located in the documents and attachment's section of the call for bid. Additional Bid Requirement: Vendor must conduct an onsite visit prior to placing bid to ensure quality control standards are met. Additional Details Doors to be solid core, with windows as indicated in the Door Schedule Doors: Clear Vertical Grain Fir, Hemlock or Birch Door Jambs, Casing, and Trim, and Windows, Window Casing and Trim, and Chair Rail in Large Hearing Room: Fir, Hemlock or Birch Door Finish will be selected from vendors color chart and confirmed by owner. Lewis County requires a Quality Product for a Fair Price. 2 quality control inspections will occur by Construction Supervisor prior to County taking possession of finished products. Product Finish Quality Inspection: In Vendor Shop, Once Doors, Windows, and Trim have been finished a quality control inspection will occur at vendors shop. Delivery Inspection: Upon Delivery of Materials an inspection will be completed at the project construction site. After Inspection and inventory is complete county will take possession of materials. Any blemishes, shadows, or damage discovered will not be accepted and will be returned to factory/vendor for replacement/repair at the vendor's expense. Vendor is responsible for confirming rough opening dimensions and door hang/swing on site prior to material order.
