The Hudson Public Utilities is soliciting proposals for the following work that includes furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances required to evaluate, rehabilitate, test, and service well pump to depths of 200 feet of column, vertical line-shaft, pump, plus tail piece. This specified scope of work terminates at the well discharge head. Parts and materials will be furnished by the Contractor with prior approval from the Hudson Public Utilities. Execution: o Prior to pump removal the contractor shall record the pre lube time, gallons per minute pumping, The voltage, the amp draw, the Hz at which the pump is pumping if (VFD), water level, and the vibration of the upper and lower motor frame. o Remove motor, 200 feet of column, pump shaft, pump, 1" PVC with 3/8" airline and tail piece. o Reinstall motor, 200 feet of column, pump shaft, pump, and tail piece. o Furnish and install (2) 200' 1" PVC's one of which with 200' of 3/8" airline. The other with an electronic water level probe. (Furnished by others) o The well pump motor shall be loaded onto a Hudson Public Utilities Vehicle. We will have a local motor shop examine the electric motor. o Disassemble, clean, and Inspect components for signs of wear and deterioration. o Make recommendations to the Hudson Public Utility for needed repairs or replacement of parts. No repairs shall be made without prior approval from the Utility. o Components shall be put within manufactures specifications before reinstation. o The well depth shall be checked and recorded. Any major variations in depth shall be reported to Hudson Public Utilities. o Video entire well and record. Furnish Hudson Utilities with video on thumb drive. o Disinfect well prior to pump installation. o After reinstallation, the contractor shall record the pre lube time, gallons per minute pumping, the voltage, the amp draw, the Hz at which the pump is pumping if (VFD), water level, and the vibration of the upper and lower motor frame. Work to start after October 15th, 2024, and finishes by December 20th,2024. Materials Furnished-Contractor: Replacement parts furnished by the contractor must be of the same manufacturer's OEM or approved equal. Contractor shall provide cost based on per unit (see attached sheet). Debris Clean-Up: The contractor will be responsible for removing all debris from the site and cleaning affected areas. The contractor will keep the premisesfree of debris and unusable materialsresulting from their work asthe work progresses, or upon request by the faculty representative, the contractor will remove such debris and material from the site. The contractor will leave all affected areas as they were prior to the beginning of the project. Well and Pump information: o Original well depth 522', 18" Casing to 381' Open hole 141' o 1 11/16" stainless steel shaft o Pump setting 200' o Pump is a Lanye 10", Model 12RKBH, 5 stages. o Column is black steel 10" schedule 40 - 10' lengths. o Last service date was in 2019
