The proposed Project must meet the safety and standards for the latest skatepark design principles for skateboarders and scooters only to develop their skills. The design shall be naturally integrated with the surrounding environment and feature a mix of street and transitional-style terrain with elements designed for all age groups and ability levels. The design of the Project should draw and engage local users to the skatepark and will challenge both beginners and experienced users. The budgets will include assisting in location process, permitting, design, building, demolition, hazardous materials remediation (if required), new construction, site work, underground utilities such as drainage, landscaping, site furnishings and contingencies. Proposal submissions received after this time will be considered non-responsive and will be returned without review. The City of North Platte reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive irregularities or informalities to accept the Proposal it deems most beneficial. The parks and recreation culture for the city is expected to make a strong impact soon and will contribute significantly to the city's economic engine The City of North Platte (CITY) is requesting competitive proposals for the Design-Build services for the 30% schematic design and pre-construction services for at least two conceptual designs of the Skate Park Construction Project (Project). The proposals will be objectively scored and ranked by a selection committee. The CITY and its selection committee will evaluate the proposals on their merits and conformance to the published performance standards. The proposal demonstrating its adherence to the Design and Performance criteria and overall presentation will be awarded the design-build contract for the Skate Park Construction Project. This RFP includes a description of the scope of work, proposal requirements, and instructions for submitting the proposal. Once the City Council has approved a design and budget, the 100% Design and Construction Phase Services of the Project will be awarded. The City's RFP is a competitive selection process, and the Design-Build Teams will be asked to propose two designs for the construction of the skate park. The CITY reserves the right to find any proposal that is incomplete or otherwise fails to respond to all requirements of this RFP non-responsive, and to give it no further consideration.
