The proposed improvements are located within the limits shown on the Location Map on the Cover Sheet of the plans within the Meadowbrook Subdivision with work planned on McGregor Street, E Lincoln Street, E Lafayette Street, Meadowbrook Drive, Magnolia Drive and Conley Circle in the City of Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois. The scope of work includes the installation of new water mains and appurtenances, pavement patching at the location of the water main work and in areas of deteriorated pavement with HMA Binder. Also included in the scope of work is placement of aggregate base course; curb and gutter; storm sewer and associated drainage structures; sanitary sewers and associated sanitary structures; sidewalk; driveway aprons; temporary erosion and sediment control; permanent seeding and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the Plans, to provide a complete and working system, and as described herein. All questions related to this Invitation to bid (ITB) shall be submitted in writing through Electronically on or before, Tuesday, March 12, 2024 by 12:00 pm. All questions submitted and answers provided shall be electronically distributed to bidders/consultants following this solicitation on the City's e-Procurement Portal. Any addenda shall be posted on the Citys e-Procurement Portal. Addenda notifications will be emailed to all persons on record as following this ITB. Failure of any bidder/consultant to receive any such addenda or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder/consultant from any obligation under their bid as submitted. It is highly suggested that interested parties view the project site and/or understand the requirements of the solicitation before submitting a response. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening. This will be a joint effort between the Citys Water Department and the Department of Operations and Engineering Services. Please carefully read through the specifications attached.
