The cutoff for any questions about this RFP is March 19, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. (CST). This Scope of Work establishes the minimum work to be performed by the Service Provider for the loading, transporting, recycling, and/or disposal of household hazardous wastes collected by the City and related services and materials. The HCCC anticipates removal/pick up from the Service Provider two (2) times per year every six (6) months. There is truck access and a loading dock at the HCCC. Throughout the contract, other City Departments may have hazardous waste for disposal. The Service Provider shall work with City Departments and honor the pricing/services associated with the contract. The work will consist of the contractor Milling approximately 1,770 s.y., installing approximately 98 tons of Leveling Course, 1,770 In addition to the pricing structure that the City has outlined above, the City is interested in entertaining alternative methods to accomplish the Scope of Work. These alternatives can include "best practices" that the City did not incorporate, or a more economical way of accomplishing the Scope of Work. If an alternative is submitted, the Offeror shall include a detailed narrative of the alternative, including benefits, etc. Pricing must be listed in Section 6E - ADDITIONAL SERVICES. The Offeror represents, in accordance with RSMo. 285.530.2 that they have not employed, or sub-bid with, unauthorized aliens in connection with the scope of work to be done under the RFP and agree to provide an affidavit to the City of Springfield affirming that they have not, and will not in connection with the RFP, knowingly employ, or sub-bid with, any person who is an unauthorized alien. The work will consist of the contractor Milling approximately 1,770 Any questions relative to the interpretation of specifications or the Proposal process shall be addressed to the Buyer in writing, in ample time before the period set for the receipt and opening of Proposals. No inquiries, if received after the deadline for final questions date listed in the Scope of Work will be given any consideration. Any interpretation made to prospective Offerors will be expressed in the form of an addendum to the RFP which, if issued, will be conveyed in writing to all prospective Offerors by the City's response to the question date listed in the Scope of Work.
