Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot in Griffin, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Provide materials, equipment, labor, any traffic control needed and services necessary to complete an FDR on a parking lot located at the intersection of 6th Street and Bank Street, physical address is 219 E Bank Street. This will require the removal of poles and chain located around the parking lot along the section of the parking lot facing E Bank Street, restripe parking spaces, provide center and row end islands with plants and pine straw framed by curb and gutter as well as curb and gutter down street (E Bank Street) side of parking lot. Question Deadline: 03/14/2024 at 5:00 PM ET, For all questions about this Bid contact: Sherri Huggins shuggins@cityofgriffin.com The scope of work is for the installation of the following: 1) Remove Chain and Fence Post on E Bank St of parking Lot 2) Remove Concrete Center Island 3) Complete FDR at 8" min depth on complete parking lot 4) Install concrete center Island and row end planting areas (curb & gutter) with plants and mulch 5) Thermo stripe all parking spaces (should be 45) 6) Thermo stripe directional arrows on all rows with minimum 2 arrows per row. 7) Asphalt to be at a min depth of 2 inches at mix of 9.5mm 8) Street side of parking lot should also be curb and gutter 9) Two handicap parking spaces with 1 being van accessible with handicap emblems installed in parking spaces and signs installed at correct height for each space. For any bid as required and noted in Section 1 of this bid document, a one hundred ten percent (110%) Performance bond and a one hundred ten percent (110%) Payment bond shall be furnished payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the City. When Bid bonds are required, they must be in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the supplier's response and may be in the form of a surety issued bond or cashier's check made payable to the City of Griffin. Bid bonds are returned to the unsuccessful suppliers when the Notice of Award has been issued or contract has been executed. When bonding is required, failure to submit appropriate bonding will result in automatic rejection of bid. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 36-91-24, it is understood that the Notice-to-Proceed and the time for completion of the work as specified are ESSENTIAL conditions of any resulting contract and that the performance and completion of this work within the specified time is vital to the City's economic interests. If the Supplier neglects, fails or refuses to complete the work within the mutually agreed time specified, the City may impose liquidated damages for each day of non-compliance past the scheduled completion date. Unless otherwise specified in Section I of this document or in the resulting contract, liquidated damages may be assessed at a rate of 1%, with a limit of $500.00 per day of noncompliance.
