Bidder to submit one hourly rate for repairing and rebuilding the pump's mechanics, gauges, valves piping and other essential components of the pump's unit on the existing fire apparatus. For hourly rate contracts, vendor will only be paid for hours worked. Lunch hours will not be paid regardless of how the vendor pays his employees. All repairs are to be made at the fire station in which the fire apparatus is housed or at any other site that is agreed to by the bidder and the Fire Chief. Bond Notes: Bidders must review the bid specifications for any applicable bonding requirements. Where required, bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check payable to the Township of Randolph in the amount specified in the bid documents. Bids for contracts that require a Performance Bond must also contain a Consent of Surety. Bid Guarantee: Each bid must be accompanied by (i) an acceptable certified check or cashier's check payable to the Township of Randolph or (ii) a bid bond issued by a surety authorized to transact business in New Jersey and acceptable to the Township of Randolph and made payable to the Township of Randolph and the MCCPC in the amount of $250.00. A properly dated and executed Power of Attorney in full force and effect must accompany the bid bond. Failure to submit said bid guarantee shall be cause for rejection of the bid. Consent of Surety: Each bid must also be accompanied by a Consent of Surety issued by a surety authorized to transact business in New Jersey and acceptable to the Township of Randolph. The Consent of Surety shall serve as a guarantee that the surety company will provide the appropriate performance bond within ten (10) business days of the date of Notification of Award letter. A properly dated and executed Power of Attorney in full force and effect must accompany the Consent of Surety. Failure to submit the Consent of Surety or Power of Attorney shall be cause for rejection of the bid. Performance Bond: Within ten (10) business days of the date of Notification of Award letter, the successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in the amount of $2,500.00. Bidders must have any and all required approvals, qualifications, certifications, and/or licenses necessary to perform the services or provide the products as contained in the bid specifications. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. Other requirements as well as these described above are fully detailed in the bid documents.
