Construction of approximately 7,500 Linear Feet (LF) (1.42 miles) of 8",12", and 16" Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) water mains to replace existing 4",6",8",12", and 16" Asbestos Cement (AC) water mains, including all associated water services, a water service transfer, and fire hydrants. Rehabilitation of approximately 430 LF of existing 8" Verified Clay (VC) sewer; and construction of approximately 5,395 LF (1.02 miles) of 8",10", 15" PVC sewer mains to replace existing 8", 12", 15" VC AND 5" Poly-Lined sewer mains including associated laterals, replumb three sewer laterals, manholes, cleanouts and other appurtenances in accordance with the specification and drawings. Project scope also includes curb ramps, and street restoration. bids $250,000 and above, bidders shall submit Bid Security at bid time. Bid Security shall be in one of the following forms: a cashier's check, or a properly certified check upon some responsible bank; or an approved corporate surety bond payable to the City of San Diego for an amount of not less than 10% of the total bid amount This check or bond, and the monies represented thereby, will be held by the City as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will in good faith enter into the contract and furnish the required final performance and payment bonds Any questions related to this solicitation shall be submitted to:MartinezAbel@sandiego.gov 9.2.
