Renovation of a mixed-use development in Kane, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Vo-Ag Welding Fume Exhaust Project, Outdoor Classrooms Project and Elevator Modernization/ Replacement Project. Kane Area School District is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of (2) Outdoor Classrooms. (1) located at the Kane Area High School - Route 321 Kane, Pa., and (1) located at the Elementary/Middle School - 400 West Hemlock Kane, Pa. The Kane Area School District reserves the right to reject any/or all bids Bidders shall provide a complete, turn-key installation of the following. (1) 18'x24' (High School) & (1) 24'x36' (Elem/Middle School) professionally engineered laminate structural beam, or timber frame construction pavilions with multi rib steel panel roof (minimum of 12/3 slope) over interior roof. Each pavilion to have a concrete pad floor that extends a minimum of 1' past eves, and a minimum under structure clearance of 8'. Approach to both pavilion installations will be ADA compliant, and locations field verified prior to bid acceptance. All aspects of the pavilion construction shall comply with federal, state and local building codes (including required drawings/engineering spec's/permits/inspections) which are to be included in the bid price. Any component colors of the pavilion including stains will be chosen after bid acceptance. o Project may start as early as June 3, 2024 and must be completed no later than August 9, 2024 per section 17 of the legal requirements. o All work shall be completed without disruption to the educational activities of students and staff. To that end, evening and/or weekend labor shall be included as required. o All work will be performed in accordance with current applicable building, plumbing, electrical, structural and HVAC codes. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and inspections. o The Contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of any existing items being replaced in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, and the Contractor will provide all the necessary equipment, labor and materials to safely accomplish said removal and disposal. o All goods and/or services shall comply with applicable OSHA regulations in effect at the time service is performed. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are required in accordance with applicable regulations. MSDS must be left on site immediately after items have been provided, and a copy given to the Facilities Manager. o The Contractor will disconnect the electrical power to the existing units (if applicable). Any electrical wiring needed from the source to the newly installed units is the Contractor's responsibility. o The Contractor will provide any finish work needed to assure weather-tight installation (if applicable). o All installations will be in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. o Contractor is responsible for removing all construction and packing debris from the work site and keeping a clean, safe work area at all times. o The Contractor will be held liable for the cost of repair or replacement of structures, utility systems and any other parts of the facility damaged by the Contractor's acts of negligence or lack of full adherence to the requirements of the scope contained herein. o The Contractor is responsible for the start-up and commissioning of all new units/structures. All systems/structures must be fully functional and operational after installation. If follow up work is required to correct installation, the District shall not be charged.
