Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Lorraine, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Construction of a refrigerated outdoor skating rink covered with a roof that will allow the holding of cultural activities and the presentation of shows outside of the winter period. The scope of the project also includes the construction of a service building that will house changing rooms, administrative offices and rooms for technical equipement. Construction of this "Polydôme" project is considered by the owner to be the best alternative to the construction of a sports complex. The project is expected to be funded by all levels of government. The new facility will be located in Lorraine park of the City. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary. The owner is finalizing the project funding package. An application for a financial assistance has been filed in the framwork of the Recreational, Sports and Outdoor Infrastructure Program (PAFIRSPA) and a response is expected during this year. No timetable for the publication of calls for tenders or the start of construction is known at this stage of the project.
