Site work for a mixed-use development in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
This project includes but is not specifically limited to the replacement of a portion of the existing playground equipment with new playground equipment, the replacement of existing wood fiber fall mitigation material with new non-organic manufactured fall mitigation surface material, and associated storm water management improvements at the respective areas as indicated in the contract documents. This work will take place at the Northwood, Meeker, and Edwards Elementary School buildings respectively. Construction Timeline: Construction to begin after receipt of signed contract and approximately June 1, 2024. Substantial Completion Date July 31, 2024, and Final Completion Date August 15, 2024. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid in the form of a Bid Bond on form AIA A310, cashier's check, certified share draft or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or credit union chartered under the laws of the United States shall accompany each bid in a separate, sealed envelope. Bid Security shall be payable to Ames Community School District. The Bid shall be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting the project specifications. However, the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract deemed to be in the best interests of the Ames Community School District.
