Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

As of March 21, 2024, project is award the following contracts: 1. For general construction, to MASCO Construction, Inc. in the amount of $235,000.00 2. For HVAC Construction, to Air Systems Mechanical Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $1,047,523.00 3. For plumbing Construction, to First American Industries in the amount of $58,700.00 4. For electrical construction, to A-1 Electric, Inc. in the amount of $346,400.00 A. All work shall be conducted in accordance with the Scheduling Requirements of the Work as hereafter specified. The Contractors shall be responsible for the means, methods and sequences to implement the specified schedule. 1. The General Contractor shall be responsible for submitting a Project Schedule incorporating other Prime Contractors work and the hereinafter specified milestone dates, as specified in Section 007216 General Conditions Article 3. a. Refer to Section 013100 for additional dates the General Contractor shall incorporate as separate line items within the Construction Schedule. 2. All Contractors shall be responsible for submitting monthly progress schedule updates as specified in Section 007216 General Conditions Articles 3 and 9. 3. Note: Construction schedules representing anything less than a five day work week shall not be permitted, see also Section 007216 "General Conditions" Article 3, Paragraph 3.10. B. The Owner intends to occupy the buildings and sites during the entire construction time frame. Work shall be conducted in such a manner that safe and secure measures are taken to provide use of the existing buildings and sites for students, faculty, staff, and the general public during the construction. 1. The building access areas, both inside and outside the building, shall be accessible at all times. 2. The site shall be accessible at all times for ingress/egress of vehicles. Bids shall include a Bid Security Bond or Certified Check, payable to Canon-McMillan School District, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, in accordance with Instructions to Bidders, as included in the Contract Documents. Due to the fact that the project is funded in part by federal funds, WBE / MBE participation is encouraged. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Trust Company Treasurers Check or Certified Check made payable to the Canon-McMillan School District in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal (including Base Bid and all Add Alternate Bids). Such Bid Bond or Check shall be submitted with the understanding that it shall guarantee that the Bidders Bid will not be withdrawn for a period of at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids; that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Form of Agreement, as provided by the Owner, with all blanks appropriately filled and will submit the required 100% Performance and Labor and Material Bonds (submitted on A.I.A. Document A312) and 100% Maintenance Bond as specified in Section 007216, Article 11; and that in the event of withdrawal of said Bid within said period, or the failure to enter into said Agreement and submit said Bonds within ten days after the Bidder has received notice of the acceptance of the Bid, the Bidder shall be liable to the above mentioned Owner for the full amount of such Bond or Check as representing the damage to the Owner on account of the default of the Bidder in any particular hereof. The Bid Bond or Check of all Bidders whose Bids are not accepted will be returned within ten calendar days after the scheduled bid opening date.
