The purpose of this project is to provide flow meters on the existing wells (Well #1 and #2) for the Paleo Water Treatment Plant. Well #1 is located to the west of the Henry S.
Parker Athletic Complex in the woods. Well #2 is located in Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex. The venturi meter vault is located at the Paleo Water Treatment Plant on
Scenic Drive. The proposed meter vaults at Well #1 and Well #2 shall intercept the existing raw water mains. The vaults shall be precast concrete as noted in the project
plans. System integration is not a part of the project scope; however, signal wires and hardware shall be terminated. A. Well #1 Flow Meter:
1. Test pit existing water main outside of the fencing.
2. Coordinate shutdown of the well and remove existing water main in the vicinity of
the proposed meter vault and valving.
3. Install two (2) gate valves, install water main, install vault.
4. Install flow meter and meter vault appurtenances.
5. Run signal wire and 120 volt wiring from the well and to the vault.
6. Install sump pump, piping, and dry well.
7. Paint piping inside of the vault.
8. Perform start-up and calibration of the flow meter.
B. Well #2 Flow Meter:
1. Test pit existing water main inside of the fencing.
2. Coordinate shutdown of the well and remove existing water main in the vicinity of
the proposed meter vault and valving.
3. Install two (2) gate valves, install water main, install vault.
4. Install flow meter and meter vault appurtenances.
5. Run signal wire and 120 volt wiring from the well and to the vault.
6. Install sump pump, piping, and connect to existing drain.
7. Paint piping inside of the vault.
8. Perform start-up and calibration of the flow meter.
C. Existing Venturi Vault:
1. Test pit Coordinate shutdown of the wells.
2. Remove existing venturi meter and appurtenances noted in the project plans.
3. Install spool piece and flange or coupling.
4. Modify pipe support.
5. Paint piping inside the vault. Work shall be completed within 120 days of Notice to Proceed.
