Utah Tech University invites bids from individual trades to undertake the development of the Innovation Plaza Restroom Annex Building project. The selected contractors will be responsible for providing and installing all necessary materials, labor, and equipment. This project, exclusively designated for the Athletic Department, aims to create a restroom facility and storage unit tailored to meet the needs of athletes Scope of Work The Scope of Work document aims to be a dynamic source of reference throughout the project's lifecycle. Any modifications or updates will be readily communicated to maintain consistency with project objectives and ensure a smooth construction process. Project Timeline 5.1. Projected start date is March 2024 5.2. Substantial completion by August 2024 Letters of Intent will need to be emailed directly to malia.tafua@utahtech.edu no later than February 16, 2024. 03/15/2024 at 12:00 PM - Question Deadline - All questions must be submitted electronically via U3P; responses will be posted via U3P. 1) Excavation and Underground Utilities a) Review access & site. Document any existing damage before start. b) Clear the site of vegetation, debris, and any obstructions c) Excavate the designated area to the required depth and dimensions d) Ensure proper grading, leveling, and sloping of the site to achieve proper drainage and levels for foundation base e) Work with Soil Engineer for compaction requirements f) Coordination and Installation of underground utilities i.e. Sewer, Water service, Electrical pathway g) Removal and disposal of excavated material h) Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements i) Provide weekly progress reports, As-built drawings showing the final condition of the excavation. j) Maintain regular communication with the project manager and report any issues or deviations from the plan promptly k) Provide a detailed schedule outlining key milestones and completion times for all excavation related activities 2) Concrete a) Form and pour concrete foundations and footings in accordance with the approved drawings b) Install reinforcing materials to meet structural requirements as per industry standard c) Ensure quality concrete placement for all structural elements d) Coordinate with the excavation team to ensure proper depths and dimensions e) Form, pour and finish concrete for each area as specified in the approved drawings1) Excavation and Underground Utilities a) Review access & site. Ensure proper jointing techniques and finishes in accordance with architectural requirements d) Install any required masonry reinforcement, such as lintels, ties, and anchors e) Ensure proper integration of masonry elements with the buildings structure f) Coordinate with other trades for proper integrations with windows, doors, and other building components g) Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications. h) Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements i) Provide weekly progress reports, As-built drawings showing the final condition of the excavation. j) Maintain regular communication with the project manager and report any issues or deviations from the plan promptly k) Provide a detailed schedule outlining key milestones and completion times for all masonry related activities 4) Doors and windows a) Install doors and windows in accordance with architectural plans and specifications b) Ensure proper alignment and integration with masonry walls c) Ensure proper sealing, functionality, and compliance with safety standards d) Procure doors and windows in accordance with specified materials, finishes, and performance standards e) Install all necessary hardware, such as locks, handles, hinges, and other accessories. Verify functionality and security features f) Apply appropriate weatherproofing measures to seal gaps and prevent air and water infiltration g) Install and specified security features, such as security bars, alarms, or reinforced glass in accordance with project requirements h) Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications. i) Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements j) Provide weekly progress reports, As-built drawings showing the final condition of the excavation. k) Maintain regular communication with the project manager and report any issues or deviations from the plan promptly l) Provide a detailed schedule outlining key milestones and completion times for all window and door related activities 5) Roofing a) Install roofing materials in accordance with architectural plans and specifications. Ensure proper waterproofing, insulation, and compliance with safety standards b) Review architectural plans and specifications for roofing design and materials c) Conduct on-site assessments to verify existing conditions and any potential challenges d) Procure roofing materials in accordance with specified materials, finishes, and performance standards e) Prepare the roof deck to receive roofing materials, including any necessary substrate adjustments, insulation installation, or vapor barrier placement f) Ensure proper alignment, secure attachment, and integration with other building components g) Install flashing around roof penetrations, edges, and transitions to ensure proper waterproofing. Apply sealants to joints and seams for additional weatherproofing h) Install insulation materials according to specified R-values and thermal performance requirements i) Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements j) Provide weekly progress reports, As-built drawings showing the final condition of the excavation. k) Maintain regular communication with the project manager and report any issues or deviations from the plan promptly l) Provide a detailed schedule outlining key milestones and completion times for all roofing related activities 6) Electrical a) Review approved plans to identify electrical requirements b) Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper placement of electrical conduits and outlets c) Install electrical wiring and conduits according to approved drawings and specifications. Ensure proper sizing and routing of conduits to accommodate all electrical systems d) Install electrical panels, subpanels, and distribution boards as specified in the electrical plans. Ensure proper labeling and circuit identification e) Install lighting fixtures and systems according to architectural and lighting design plans. Coordinate with other trades to integrate lighting fixtures seamlessly f) Install switches, outlets, and other control devices as specified in the electrical plans. Ensure proper positioning and functionality g) Install low-voltage system pathways, including data, communication, and security systems, as specified. Coordinate with relevant subcontractors for integrated system functionality h) Implement grounding and bonding measures in compliance with electrical codes.
