The Division of Purchasing is neither the issuing or conducting procurement unit for this solicitation, as such it is the vendor's responsibility to review the entire solicitation in order to comply with any requirements Project Overview: Paradigm Charter School is seeking qualifications from qualified and experienced design professionals to provide comprehensive design services for the construction of a new 16,000 square foot gymnasium and convert our current gymnasium into a 5,500 square foot Auditorium. The gymnasium is intended to meet safety requirements for hosting basketball and volleyball games in compliance with league specifications. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigation, topography survey, and providing civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services. The ultimate goal is to produce complete construction drawings stamped by the respective professionals for obtaining a building permit, bidding, and construction. Scope of Services: The selected design firm is expected to provide the following services: Geotechnical Investigation: Conduct a thorough geotechnical investigation to assess soil conditions and provide recommendations for foundation design. Topography Survey: Perform a detailed topography survey to gather accurate site information for design and construction purposes. Civil Engineering: Develop civil engineering plans that address site grading, drainage, utilities, and other site-related considerations. Structural Engineering Provide structural engineering services to design a gymnasium structure that meets safety standards for basketball and volleyball games. Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Engineering: Design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that align with the requirements of a modern gymnasium. Construction Drawings: Produce comprehensive construction drawings, stamped by the respective professionals, suitable for obtaining a building permit, bidding, and construction. Renderings of Project: Produce drawings of proposed gym and auditorium projects for marketing and fundraising purposes. Permitting Assistance: Assist the Owner in the application and issuance of a building permit through South Jordan City. General Contractor Selection: Assist the Owner in the selection and contracting with a qualified general contractor. Construction Support Services: Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) during the construction phase. Review construction submittals generated by the general contractor. Conduct site visits at intervals appropriate to the stage of the Contractor's operations. Keep the Owner informed about the progress and quality of the work completed. Endeavor to guard the Owner against defects and deficiencies in the work.
