Demolition, site work and addition to a municipal facility in Sinton, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

As of May 10, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on May 20, 2024. The Nueces River Authority, Uvalde, Texas, via a contract for project administration and management with the San Patricio County Drainage District, is seeking to hire a Contractor to design and build a steel structured building to house additional office space. The successful respondent will contract with the District as the Design Build Contractor (DBC). The DBC will be responsible for compliance with all requirements of the City of Sinton, Texas building codes, and any requirements specified by San Patricio County. The DBC will also be responsible for foundation and structural design to conform with any requirements for governmental buildings constructed along the Gulf Coast of Texas, and any added requirements due to soil conditions for the proposed slab, etc. The goal of the project will be to provide additional office space to include a kitchen, break room, HAVC closet, kitchen closet, 2 men's restrooms, one women's restroom, telecom closet, conference room and closet. The building is to be placed in the area behind the existing General Offices of the San Patricio County Drainage District located at 701 S. San Patricio Steet, Sinton, Texas 78387. Deadline for submission of questions March 20, 2024 @ 5:00 PM, CST The Authority reserves the right to verify citizenship or right to work in the United States. DBC must not commence work under this agreement until all required insurance has been obtained and such insurance has been approved by the Authority. DBC must not allow any subcontractor to commence work until all similar insurance required of any subcontractor has been obtained. B. DBC must furnish to the Executive Director with the signed agreement a copy of certificates of Insurance (COI) with applicable policy endorsements showing the following minimum coverage by an insurance company(s) acceptable to the Executive Director. The District and Authority must be listed as an additional insures on the General liability and Auto Liability policies, and a waiver of subrogation is required on all applicable policies. Endorsements must be provided with COI. Project name and or number must be listed in Description Box of COI. PROJECT SCOPE: The successful respondent will contract with the District as the DBC. The DBC will be responsible for compliance with all requirements of the City of Sinton, Texas building codes, and any requirements specified by San Patricio County. The DBC will also be responsible for foundation and structural design to conform with any requirements for governmental buildings constructed along the Gulf Coast of Texas, and any added requirements due to soil conditions for the proposed slab, etc. The goal of the project will be to provide additional office space to include a kitchen, break room, HAVC closet, kitchen closet, 2 men's restrooms, one women's restroom, telecom closet, conference room and closet. 2. The building is to be placed in the area behind the existing General Offices of the San Patricio County Drainage District located at 701 S. San Patricio Steet, Sinton, Texas 78387. 3. The DBC is to meet with the Authority to fully understand the scope and expectations of the project and review requirements in regard to fixtures, finishes, environmental and sustainability requirements, design schedule, modifications during design, submittals during design, areas available for use by the DBC, access requirements, and Project Schedule. 4. DBC shall provide Architectural, Civil, Electrical Mechanical, Plumbing, Design Drawings sealed by the appropriate licenses professional (Architect/Engineer) at 90% and 100% for review and approval. Slab design shall be by an Engineer licensed and registered in the State of Texas. 5. After 100% construction documents are approved, the Authority will arrange an on-site preconstruction meeting with the DBC. The agenda will include as a minimum, correspondence procedures, jobsite safety, roles and responsibilities, lines of authority, progress payments, submittal process, resolution to comments, construction schedule, modifications, weekend, holidays, night work, and applicable traffic control. 6. Construction documents shall be prepared in accordance with the City of Sinton Building Code. 7. The identification of the required permits for this project is the responsibility of the DBC. 8. The following deliverables are required, design development drawings, construction specifications, basis for slab design and slab design calculations. 9. The following are general construction requirements: a. Site Disturbance: Minimize the construction limits of the project to reduce the project's impact on the site. b. Toxic Chemicals: Do not allow toxic chemicals to enter sewers or storm drains or contaminate land or any body of water.
