Bids may be submitted prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The purpose of this contract is to provide the Town with an on-call contractor for isolated concrete sidewalk and curb repairs and other miscellaneous concrete work required by Town departments. The duration of the contract is from April 1, 2024 to December 1, 2024. The quantities shown in the bid proposal are an estimated quantity for bidding purposes only. The Town reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as the needs of the Town departments arise. This work includes the isolated spot repair of concrete sidewalk, monolithic concrete curb and sidewalk, concrete sidewalk ramps, and other miscellaneous concrete at various locations within the Town of Manchester as directed by the Engineer. At the Town's discretion, this contract may be extended for the 2025 construction season provided the Town and Contractor agree to extend the contract. Said policy may not be canceled or coverage reduced or terms altered in any manner detrimental to the coverage, except after delivery to the Town of written notice not less than sixty (60) days prior. No cancellation provisions in any such insurance policy shall be construed in derogation of the continuous duty of the Contractor to furnish insurance during the term of this Contract.
