The Housing Authority of the City of Goldthwaite, Texas (hereinafter referred to as the Housing Authority), will receive sealed bids for a single construction contract for the installation of replacement windows at 36 dwelling units (18 buildings). Bids are to include window and screen removal/demolition, alterations as needed and all work specified and/or shown on the drawings No Pre-Bid Conference will be held. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable surety (the Bid Bond shall be from a Company which is on the U. S. Treasury Department list, as an approved surety Company) in the amount of 5% of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay all satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds, workers compensation and vehicle liability. The bonds shall be from a Company which is on the U. S. Treasury Department list. Attention must be paid to the provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity as set forth in these documents. Attention is drawn to the fact that all wages and salaries must meet the minimum Davis Bacon requirements as set forth in the specifications. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days from the date of the bid opening without the consent of the Housing Authority.
