Questions regarding bid specifications and site work should be directed to the following by March 15, 2024 @ 2:30PM Questions regarding bid specifications and site work should be directed Kitchell CEM: kmorse@kitchell.com; bpille@kitchell.com The District has established a liquidated damage rate of $1,000.00 per calendar day for each and every calendar day that the work remains fully uncompleted or unaccepted by the District Notice of Award April 17, 2024 Notice to Proceed April 18, 2024 Start Date: Construction April 19, 2024 Substantial Completion Date August 12, 2024 Contract Completion (Closeout) September 9, 2024 Bid RFI's Due to District March 15, 2024 @ 2:30PM Prime Contractor bidders shall be required to have a valid Class C-39 or B Contractors License. Bids must be from an appropriately licensed contractor and must be sealed. A certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidders bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Bid Documents. Such bidder s security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid simultaneously with execution of the Contract, a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in the form required by the District, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price from an admitted surety company as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and further reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids or in the bidding. Provide temporary fencing to store materials onsite and at staging areas. 2. New roof system will have crickets to direct water around all curb mounted roof penetrations. 3. Install walkway roll under downspouts that drain onto the roof. 4. All wood blocks will be replaced with new rubber blocks. Install DBR series Durablok or similar with adjustable all-thread. Wide pipe runs with multiple conduit lines will require two blocks with Unistrut in between to support the pipes. 5. Typical edge metal will be 4" with a continuous cleat unless specified differently in the scopes below. 6. Install 24-gauge galvanized skirt metal at HVAC units per typical curb detail. 7. Install new 24-gauge galvanized counterflashing at roof to wall terminations. 8. Clean and paint clamping rings and dome strainers with blue paint before reinstalling. Replace any broken drain bolts or dome strainers. 9. Do not install walkway roll over seams in single ply roof. 10. Snake drains to nearest cleanout before starting installation of new roof system. Contact District immediately if drain cannot be cleared. 11. Use drain plugs when roof is being removed. Rags are not acceptable for preventing debris from entering the plumbing. 12. Outside edge of gutter will always be 1" lower than inside edge to allow for water to overflow in the event of a plugged downspout. Office and Library: 1. Clean and remove all debris from existing roof system. Remove all edge metal, lead jacks, and counterflashings. 2. Remove coping cap and set aside for reuse on parapet wallsthat will be flashed with roofing material. Coping cap will be reinstalled. See attached clarification for the areas where stucco walls will also be wrapped with single ply. 3. Remove single ply only on Library 2 roof leaving coverboard in place. 4. Install one layer of 1/4 " cover board over entire roof except for Library 2. 5. Install mechanically fastened, 60-Mil TPA single ply roofsystem and associated components and flashings. 6. Extend base flashings up and over walls and reinstall coping cap. 7. New edge metal will have a 5" face and gravel stop. Install with a continuous cleat. 8. Seal joints in coping cap at Office / Library transition with urethane coating reinforced with polyester membrane. 9. Replace low profile vents with Flashco type vents with PVC flange. 10. Coat designated stucco walls with two coats of Solargard Hy-Build elastomeric wall coating. 11. Install 360' (6 rolls) of walkway roll to provide clear path to units and at working side of units. Matching the existing layout is acceptable. Twin Rivers Union School District Norwood Junior High School Scope of Work: Tech Room: 1. Clean and remove all debris from existing roof system. Remove all edge metal, lead jacks, and counterflashings. 2. Remove coping cap and set aside for reuse. New flashing at parapet wall will extend up and over the wall covering the stucco reveal at the top. 3. Install one layer of 1/4 " cover board over entire roof including sloped walls. 4. Install mechanically fastened, 60-Mil TPA single ply roofsystem and associated components and flashings. 5. Extend base flashings up and over walls and reinstall coping cap. 6. Install 180' (3 rolls) of walkway roll to provide clear path to units and at working side of units. Matching the existing layout is acceptable. Gym/Locker Rooms/Kitchen & Band: 1. Clean and remove all debris from existing roof system. Remove all edge metal, lead jacks, and counterflashings. 2. Remove coping cap and set aside for reuse. 3. Install one layer of 1/4 " cover board over entire roof. 4. Install mechanically fastened, 60-Mil TPA single ply roofsystem and associated components and flashings. 5. Extend base flashings up and over walls and reinstall coping cap. This includes the Kitchen roof where the stucco walls will be covered with single ply. 6. New edge metal will have a 5" face and gravel stop. Install with a continuous cleat. 7. Seal joints in coping cap at Kitchen transition with urethane coating reinforced with polyester membrane. 8. Replace low profile vents with Flashco type vents with PVC flange. 9. Install 240' (4 rolls) of walkway roll to provide clear path to units and at working side of units.
