The Township of Sparta Water Utility is requesting proposals for the inspection of fourteen (14) water storage tanks at various locations within the Township of Sparta. Attached herewith are descriptions/specifications of all tanks to be inspected within this RFQ. Tank Inspection Methodology and Scope Interior Water Tank Inspections/ Evaluations The awarded vendor for this RFQ shall perform individual in- service water tank inspections utilizing an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) to perform an interior inspection for each water storage tank. Interior ROV tank inspections shall include evaluations of the tank's structural integrity, paint condition, cathodic protection units, and sedimentation accumulation. Interior tank inspections shall be performed with the capability of being viewed in real-time for representatives of the Sparta Township Utility to observe. An interior inspection report will be provided along with a video of the inspection performed for each tank. Inspection reports for each tank shall include photographs of any areas of concern identified during the inspection process. The ROV utilized for the interior tank inspections shall be disinfected in accordance with AWWA C652 standards, and all applicable NJDEP N.J.A.C., 7:10 and EPA disinfection standards/ requirements. Exterior Tank Inspections/Evaluations A visual exterior inspection of tanks shall also be performed to include the exterior tank surface, including but not limited to exterior tank surface, foundation, and all associated tank appurtenances. A report and photographs of the tank's exterior will be provided for each tank. General Requirements Each vendor submitting a proposal shall also submit a statement of qualifications outlining similar water tank inspections/ evaluations performed in past five years. Statement shall also include reference projects with names and affiliations of point of contacts for each project. Cost Breakdown Each vendor shall submit a cost breakdown to perform interior and exterior inspections/ evaluations of each tank as listed within this RFQ. Cost per tank shall include all labor, materials, and associated costs to perform the work outlined in this RFQ. Please address technical questions in writing regarding this RFQ to Ralph G.
