The City of Del Rio will receive bids for the International Bridge Mill & Overlay Project Last day for questions: June 10, 2024 5:00 PM CST The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time at the City of Del Rio Council Chambers, 109 W. Broadway Street, Del Rio, Texas. Bids received after the time and date specified will not be accepted. Bids are invited for the milling and overlay and traffic lane re-striping of the International Bridge and approaching International Bridge Road. Several items and quantities of work are as follows: 1. Plane asphaltic pavement material of approximately twenty-four thousand and eight hundred and sixty-five (24,865) square yards. 2. Place asphaltic pavement of approximately two thousand seven hundred and sixty-three (2,763) tons. 3. Reflective pavement markings of approximately fifteen thousand and six hundred and forty-one (15,641) linear feet. 4. Various other items to complete the project. A bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Del Rio or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. The City of Del Rio reserves the right to waive or reject any and all bids, or any and all irregularities in the said bid, in order to accept the offer considered to be the most advantageous to the City of Del Rio, and/or to decline all offers. Bids received after the time and date indicated will not be accepted. The bidder offers to construct the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents for the contract price, and to complete the Project within 40 calendar days after the start date, as set forth in the Authorization to Proceed Bids may be held by the City of Del Rio for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award.
