The intent of the Contract is for the Contractor to construct the Work to be functionally complete and aesthetically acceptable, to the complete satisfaction of the RE. Perform work that may be reasonably inferred from the Contract as being required to produce the intended result under the Items of the Contract. Perform the Work using the best construction practices and provide materials and workmanship of the first quality to meet the Contract requirements. Perform the Work to ensure the least possible obstruction to traffic, while adhering to the highest safety standards, and with the least inconvenience to local residents and the general public. The infrastructure work to be performed under this contract shall consist of the repair of the bridge headers, joints, deteriorated concrete deck, curb, sidewalk, application of corrosion inhibitor, traffic line re-striping, parapet repair, railing re-seal. On the bridge substructure, work shall consist of the repair of deteriorated concrete, lubrication of bearings, and the application of an epoxy waterproofing.
