The Work consists of all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the installation of new HVAC roof top units and ductwork. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the removal of existing gymnasium ceiling hung units and ductwork, installation of new roof top units, unit curbs, ductwork, utilities, electrical, insulated metal panels, partial roofing, piping insulation, electrical feed, core drilling through CMU walls, fire stopping, steel truss reinforcing, etc. For a complete turnkey system. All roofing work must be done through a certified roofing manufacturer contractor to maintain roofing warranty. The contractor is responsible for adhering to the State of New Jersey Department of Education Employees Criminal History Record Checks as per the N.J.S.A. 18A:6-7.2. See attached section. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, drawn to the order of the Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid but not in excess of $20,000. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment will be in the best interest of the School District. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defects or informalities in any bid, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the District to do so. The Board will not assume responsibility for bids not delivered in person to the Board of Education at the time called for bid opening.
