scope of work: Juan De Anza Elementary School was completely rebuilt in 2001. It is the only K-5 elementary school in the District. Organized along a main circulation spine connected to two classroom wings, Administration Office, Library, and Multi-Purpose Room. Spaces are connected through internal corridors. A building at the North part of the site and three (3) portables on the site house the Child Development Center. Minor modernization scope of work may include but is not limited to new flooring, ceilings, lighting, interior/exterior painting, doors, casework, tackable wall panels, restroom upgrades, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, audio visual technology, low voltage systems, and other finishes where needed as identified by Architect in consideration of the project budget and agreed upon by District. The Safety & Security scope of work may include but is not limited to new fencing and gates to support a secured campus, a secured main entry point into campus, door access controls for all existing and reconfigured spaces, fire alarms, public address and other communication systems, signage, exterior lighting on campus and within parking areas. The Project construction cost is estimated to be between $7.5 million to $8.5 million.
