As of April 2, 2024, the owner plans to reject all bids and re-bid again in the future. Maintenance of HVAC Systems and Installation of CO2 Monitors and HVAC Filters Contractor shall possess at the time of its bid, the following classification(s) of Contractors California State license(s): B, C20, C-36, or C-38. Bonds. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, cash, or a cashiers check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form, as a guarantee that the Contractor will, within seven (7) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed or other direction, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the Services as stipulated in the bid. In addition, a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder. Any bid protest by any Contractor regarding any other bid on this Project must be submitted in writing to the District to Annie Aung, aaung@dusd.net, at before 5:00 P.M. of the SECOND (2ND) business day following the date of bid opening, or the Contractor waives its right to protest Question Deadline 03/18/2024 at 5:00 PM PT. Work shall be completed by April 30, 2024, Work shall be completed within 20 consecutive calendar days from the date specified in the District s Notice to Proceed (Contract Time). Contract Time & Liquidated Damages. Pursuant to Government Code section 53069.85, Contractor shall pay to the District, as fixed and liquidated damages for these incalculable damages, the sum of $500 per day for each and every calendar day of delay beyond the Contract Time or beyond any completion schedule, construction schedule, or Project milestones established pursuant to the Contract.
The Districts Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received.
