Replacement of an electrical inlet at 1300 8e Avenue in Québec. Build civil and building infrastructure to accommodate 600v equipment. Continue the existing concrete mass; Installation of two bases for 600v transformers outside; Construction of a low-voltage connection room; Construction of a new room for the installation of the busbar towards the room of the new main substation; Build a new 600v, 5,000A main substation. Replenish the arteries; Dismantle the 25kV substation; Demolish the 25kV power supply; Dismantle the three existing transformers; Demolition of the existing 600v substation. TIMELINE: Contract for electrical engineering services to complete design and conduct construction surveillance has been awarded. Reference Number: 1809974. A pre-purchase of the main equipment (substation and bus bars) is planned for this mandate. Note that the pre-purchase equipment acquisition period will be in parallel with the design of the preliminary plans and specifications, contrary to what is included in the study schedule. The construction site schedule is determined based on delivery times for pre-purchased equipment. The construction will take place over two phases. A first in the summer of 2025 and a second in the summer and fall of 2026. The cuts must be coordinated in order to have as little impact as possible on the Cégep's activities. They may be concentrated during the reading week in October 2026. Fee adjustments will be possible if a different phasing is planned during the mandate. The building will remain occupied during design as well as during construction. The possible period for carrying out the noisiest and most disturbing work is from June to August. The Cégep wishes to have a minimum of interruptions and for them to be as short as possible. Further update in late 2024.
