Work of this contract comprises of the Inspection, Service and Repairs of the COMMERCIAL Oil-Fired Furnace Heating (Water and Steam) Systems for the following schools in located in Eastern NL: Bishop Abraham, 196 Penneywell Road, St. John's Frank Roberts, 350 Foxtrap Access Road, CBS Hazelwood Elementary, 391 Topsail Road, St. John's Horizon Academy, 145 St. Clare Avenue, St. John's Larkhall Academy, 16 Larkhall Street, St. John's Mount Pearl Senior High, 46 Ruth Avenue, Mount Pearl Rennies River Elementary, 150 Elizabeth Avenue, St. John's St. Francis of Assisi, 29 Outer Cove St. John's Bosco, 75 Linegar Avenue, Shea Heights St. Mary's Elementary, 124 Waterford Bridge Road, St. John's Stella Maris, 1 Church Road, Trepassey 2. This contract is to start immediately upon award for a period of two (2) years with an option of two (2) one (1)-year extensions (i.e. 2+1+1) as per same terms and conditions, if mutually agreed upon in writing by the Successful Bidder and the Province. 3. The Bidder must provide four (4) separate hourly rates: One (1) hourly rate for a Journeyperson Licensed as an Oil Burner Mechanic during regular business hours One (1) hourly rate for an Oil Burner Mechanic helper or Apprentice during regular business hours One (1) emergency hourly rate for a Journeyperson Licensed as an Oil Burner Mechanic during afterhours on weekdays and weekends One (1) emergency hourly rate for an Oil Burner Mechanic helper or Apprentice during afterhours on weekdays and weekends The hourly rates shall be used for required service, repairs and/or replacement of equipment that falls within the scope of this contract. Any applicable truck or mileage costs are to be included in the hourly rate(s) submitted in the Price Chart, located in the Stipulated Price Contract. 4. Estimates, quotes and invoices provided by the Successful Bidder for repairs and/or replacement of equipment, either arising out of scheduled inspections or as specifically requested by the Province, must include a detailed breakdown of materials and labour costs. While labour rates are set in the tender, the submitted labour estimates must note number of hours and people to be used. 5. The Contractor will have access to the school for servicing at any time. However, due to some equipment being located in classrooms and other student areas, the Contractor will be responsible for any costs with having to service equipment outside of normal school hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, September to June. Contractor must check in at the school's Main Office prior to mobilizing throughout the building. This tender is for the Inspection, Service and Repair of Commercial Oil Fired Furnace Heating Systems for Various Schools in the Avalon Region of the Province. Bidders shall submit with their Tender a Bid Bond of at least 10% of their Total Tendered Price (before HST) if the tendered amount is $25,000 or greater Performance Bond A Performance Bond May Be Required in the Amount of Up to Fifty Percent (50%) of the Contract Price. The Performance Security is to Be Received Not Later Than on (1) Week After the Award of the Contract by the Letter of Intent and Prior to the Formal Execution of the Agreement. No Work is to Be Undertaken Until the Performance Bond Has Been Received. The Performance Bond Can Be Waved at the Discretion of the Province. Labour and Materials Payment Bond A Labour and Materials Payment Bond May Be Required in the Amount of Up to Fifty Percent (50%) of the Contract Price. The Labour and Materials Payment Bond is to Be Received Not Later Than One (1) Week After the Award of the Contract by the Letter of Intent and Prior to the Execution of the Formal Agreement. a. Comprehensive Minimum General Liability - $5,000,000.00 inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury, death and damage to property including loss of use thereof, with a Property Damage deductible of $2,500.00. b. Standard Automobile Policy Liability - $1,000,000.00 inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury, death and damage to property, in the following forms endorsed to provide the Province not less than thirty (30) days written notice in advance of any cancellation, change or amendment restricting coverage. Standard Non-Owned Automobile Policy including Standard Contractual Liability Endorsement. Standard Owner's Form Automobile Policy providing Third party Liability and Accident benefits insurance and covering licensed vehicles owned or operated by or on behalf of the Bidder.
