0000265496 Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is calling for tenders to establish a Standing Offer Agreement (SOA) to provide as and when required construction services specific to Department of National Defence (DND) requirements for the location(s) mentioned above. The SOA will be for a period of two (2) years with a maximum estimated value of $ 600,000.00 with a possibility of an additional one-year period. (Maximum value of $ 900,000.00). These services will be available on request at Valcartier Garrison, at DRDC Valcartier Defence Research and Development Canada research centre, and at satellite sites:

Ste-Foy Armoury, 2630 Hochelaga Blvd, Quebec City. The scope of the work required will be specified on each services engagement request. A copy of the form will be sent to the contractor before the start of the work. However, in urgent situations, the contents of the form may be described orally to the contractor and the document can be sent to them at a later date. The contractor must respond only to these call-ups. Services rendered at the request of unauthorized individuals will not be paid under any circumstances. A list of authorized persons will be submitted at the kick-off meeting. Generally, but not exclusively, most of the work will target the sub-categories of the specialized civil works contractor category. Examples include:
Excavation and general backfilling;
Clearing and grubbing;
Addition, repair and replacement of storm and sanitary lines;
Addition, repair and replacement of water mains:
Addition, repair and replacement of manholes and catch basins;
Installation or replacement of culverts;
Paving;
Traffic management with temporary signs and flag persons;
Construction or repair of sidewalks and concrete slabs;
Construction or repair of concrete and granite curbs;
Laying of sod or hydroseeding;
Repair and replacement of guardrails;
Repair and replacement of industrial fencing; and
Any other outdoor work. The period for making Call-ups and providing services against the Standing Offer Agreement is two (2) years. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
