Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Project primarily consists of construction of concrete sidewalks, driveway aprons, and minor storm drainage. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent of the Contract Price. The Town reserves the right to waive any technical defects in the bids; to reject bids which do not conform to the terms and conditions described in the specifications; to reject any, any part of, or all bids; to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process; and to accept that bid which the Town deems to be in its best interest, whether or not it is the lowest dollar proposed. Submit questions via the Question and Answer section of the Project's bidding service webpage, nterpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
