Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work includes, but is not limited to asphalt parking and drive aisles, concrete sidewalks, landscaping, stair replacement and retaining walls. Additional improvements include storm sewers and drywells. Sealed envelopes or packages containing bids shall be marked or endorsed "Crystal Lake Elementary School District 47 - Multiple School Site Improvements." Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty that the bidder has examined the plans, the site of the work and the local conditions affecting the contract, and understands all of the requirements for performance of the work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in its proposal resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. The School District reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any and all proposals as provided in the Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals, effective January 1, 2002, revised January 1, 2016, published by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Bureau of Local Roads, Check Sheet LRS6. Unless all bids are rejected, the contract award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. In determining who the lowest responsive, responsible bidder is, the School District will consider all factors which it, in its discretion, deems relevant in determining who the lowest responsive, responsible bidder is. The general prevailing rate of wages in McHenry County for each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute the contract or perform the work, also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work, as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract or to perform the work. Work performed under this contract shall be in accordance with Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Illinois Compiled Statutes, Ch. 820, Act 130, Sections 1-12), Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (Illinois Compiled Statutes, Ch. 30, Act 570, Sections 1-7), and the Drug Free Workplace Act (Illinois Compiled Statutes, Ch. 30, Act 580, Sections 1-11).
