As of April 9, 2024, the project was awarded to Jacobs Construction, Inc., with an awarded amount of $169,845.88. The County is accepting bids from single prime contractors to erect a metal building supplied by the County to be used as a CSI Warehouse located at 789 Luther Midgett Road, Jacksonville, NC, Bid No. 101-24C. DISQUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS More than one Bid for the same Work from an individual or entity under the same or different names will not be considered. Reasonable grounds for believing that any Bidder has an interest in more than one Bid for the Work may be cause for disqualification of that Bidder and the rejection of all Bids in which that Bidder has an interest. BID BOND: No bid bond is required for this project. PERFORMANCE BOND: No performance bond is required for this project. CONTRACT TIMES: The awarded contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work within 180 calendar days from the date of the contract. LIQUIDATED AND SPECIAL DAMAGES: Provisions for liquidated and special damages, if any, will be set forth in the Agreement. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Owner as having received the Bid Documents. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Addenda may also be issued to clarify, correct, or change the bid documents as deemed advisable by Owner. All changes in specifications shall be in writing in the form of an addendum and furnished to all known bidders recorded by Owner as having received the bid documents. It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that he/she has received all addenda issued prior to submitting a Bid. Acknowledgement of receipt of all addenda shall be made by each bidder in the space provided in the Bid Form. All Bidders are hereby notified that they must have the proper license as required under the North Carolina laws. Contracts for Work under this bid will be governed by all applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project.
