Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Buford, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project extends approximately 0.7 miles along Moreno Street to the intersection of Wilson Avenue, continuing along Wilson Avenue for approximately 0.1 miles to a point 240 ft south of East Main Street. Work consists of concrete and brick paver sidewalk, curb & gutter, grading, and improvement of existing street crossings and pedestrian crosswalks. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. No proposal wil be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds either a Georgia State Contractor's License, Georgia State Utility Contractor's License, or qualifications with the Georgia Department of Transportation for similar work, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14 and 43-41. Failure to provide the bidder's license or qualification number on the outside of the sealed proposal will result in rejection of the bid. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award the Contract on the basis of the base bid alone. All required federal, state, and local permits as well as required easements or rights of way for the project have been obtained. All bidding contractors must be pre-qualified by GDOT. The DBE goal for this project is 14%. The City of Buford in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d--42 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21, Nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
