Improvements for this project will generally include removing Crossover Road and restoring tidal wetlands, relocating the intersection of Olema Bolinas and elevating the realigned Olema Bolinas roadway with new bridge, rerouting Lewis Gulch Creek through the wetlands at the top of the Wye, expanding and enhancing the wetlands, improving Lewis Gulch Creek habitat for steelhead through the addition of large wood structures, reducing flooding on Olema-Bolinas Question Deadline 03/19/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Questions concerning the Bid should be submitted via online Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $4,690,336 The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "A" License at time of bid submittal and from contract award through Contract acceptance (23 CFR 635.110). A Bid Bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check, in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals. Bidders are advised that, as required by Federal law, the State has established a statewide overall DBE goal. This County Federal-aid contract is considered to be part of the statewide overall DBE goal. The County is required to report to Caltrans on DBE participation for all Federal-aid contracts each year so that attainment efforts may be evaluated. This project is subject to Buy America provisions for all iron and steel furnished. The DBE contract goal is 15% percent. If the DBE Commitment form, Exhibit 15-G, is not submitted with the bid, it must be completed and submitted by all bidders to the Agency within five (5) days of bid opening. If the bidder does not submit the DBE Commitment form within the specified time, the Agency will find the bidder's bid nonresponsive. If the DBE goal is not met, the contractor needs to complete and submit the DBE Good Faith Efforts (GFE) documentation within 5 (five) days of bid opening.
