The project, I-5719 / U5800/ U-6044, widens 1-85 to an eight-lane facility from US 321 (North Chester Street - Exit 17) to east of NC 273 (Beatty Drive - Exit 27), improves the intersection at NC 7 (Main Street) and US 29 / 74 (Wilkinson Boulevard) in Belmont and widens, improves SR 2200 (Cox Road) from 1-85 to US 29 / 74 (East Franklin Boulevard) and improves the intersection at SR 2200 (Cox Road / Armstrong Park Road) and US 29 / 74 (East Franklin Boulevard) in Gastonia. Technical questions related to the RFQ package, or other project related questions, must be sent, by e-mail only, to designbuild@ncdot.gov. For tracking purposes, questions will only be answered through e-mail requests. Interested parties should send a request, by e-mail only, to rfq_package_request@ncdot.gov for a formal package detailing the requirements for submitting a Statement of Qualifications.
