Each bid must be accompanied by a scanned pdf version of a bid bond, a certified, cashiers, or bank check, or a money order, made in favor of the Treasurer of the City of Warren . *The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any defect or irregularity in bids Remove and dispose of all existing carpet, carpet base, transition strips, adhesives, and related debris in the Office areas of the City Hall Building on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, as specified herein; Prepare the floors to have new carpet installed, and shall install new transition strips and carpet base. The floors will need to be sanded or scarified before new carpet is installed to ensure all of the old glue is removed. Furnish and install carpet, carpet base, and transitions in the Office areas of the City Hall Building on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, as specified herein; New carpet shall be installed following all best modern day building and flooring practices. Use manufacturer recommended adhesive to install the carpet, carpet base, and transition strips. All carpet adhesive is to be applied using the recommended notch trowel and in strict accordance of all manufacturers specifications and instructions. All cove base to be replaced including carpet molding used in front of the counters. Vendor shall replace base moldings. Vendor shall pull off base moldings in cubicle areas and cut the carpet under behind them. Vendor shall then place new carpeting so it behind the base moldings. If the cubicle is moved in the future, the City will be able to replace the cut areas with new carpet squares. A vinyl threshold shall be used at any point where the new carpet meets the existing carpet. Use trained flooring technicians to perform the installation of all carpet installation work, conforming to all state and local codes and regulations governing the trades included in this work. Take special care in removing existing carpet as to not tear or damage the walls. The awarded vendor shall be responsible for repairing anything that has been damaged by the awarded contractor, or sub-contractor(s). Move furniture, equipment, etc. in all areas for the removal and installation of the new carpet; Place the furniture, equipment, etc. back to their previous location once carpet has been installed; Furnish all necessary insurance and clean-up necessary to complete the project; Furnish all necessary bonds.
