Renovation of a conference / convention center in Torrington, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.
The project work is comprised of furnishing all equipment, labor, material, plant, and superintendence to perform all work necessary for the milling, grading, and paving of the existing pavement, including replacing and new curbing and sidewalks, catch basins, and manhole tops, driveway aprons, handicap ramps, traffic markings & signs, lawn restoration, and associated miscellaneous work. Roads include: Beecher St, Clark St, Craig St, Hotchkiss Pl, Hungerford St, Jones St, Lake St, Lawton St, McKay St & Whiting Ave. A bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall accompany each bid with a performance bond and a labor & materials bond. A non-collusion statement for Prime Contractors and any addendum acknowledgement must also be submitted at the time of the bid. The City of Torrington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid, and to award the contract as it feels will best serve the public interest. All bids will be considered valid for a period of sixty (60) days. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the City Purchasing Agent no later than Wednesday March 13, 2024 at 12 noon.
