Site work and paving for a civil project in Ashley, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The work covered by the plans and specifications includes: Pavement planing, partial depth pavement repairs, fabric, asphalt Intermediate course, asphalt surface course, guardrail, storm sewer and related items. All partial depth repair work for Bates Road, Brakeman Road, Lockwood Road, Blair Road and Paine Road shall be completed by May 31, 2024. Work on Wintergreen Hill Drive may not begin until June 10, 2024 due to storm sewer work. All work under this contract shall be completed by August 16, 2024. Pursuant to R.C. 153.01 et. seq., the bid must be accompanied by an original sealed document (uploaded for online bidders) in the form of a bond for the full amount (100%) of the bid OR by a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, drawn on a solvent bank located in Lake County and payable to the Treasurer of Lake County, Ohio, as surety that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. All online Bidders must submit original within 3 days of bid opening. Should any bid be rejected said surety shall forthwith be returned to the bidder and should any bid be accepted such bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit will be returned to the bidder upon proper execution and securing of the contract. The Board of Lake County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to increase or decrease or omit any item or items and/or to award to the lowest and/or best bidder. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Work for this contract shall consist of: pavement planing, partial depth pavement repairs, fabric innerlayer, asphalt intermediate course, asphalt surface course, chip seal surface course, remove/replace storm sewers, remove/replace guardrail and related items as indicated on the proposal sheet. Two-way traffic shall be maintained at all times. Any planned closures must be presented to the Engineer for review and approval a minimum of 1 week before said closure. The exception is for the storm sewers to be removed/replaced on Winchell Road. A detour shall be placed for Winchell Road. The contractor is to develop a project schedule and submit it to the Engineer at least one week prior to beginning work indicating how the project will be phased such that access to residences is maintained as well as access by emergency, delivery, and consumer service vehicles such as garbage trucks and school buses. If the Engineer deems the plan unsuitable, subsequent plans will need to be developed and submitted for review.
