Asbestos Removal for 2 one-bedroom apartments in the city of Cortland. Questions about the project may be directed to Ella M. Dilorio, Executive Director, at 607-753-1771, ext.223. The owner accepts the right to accept or reject all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process 1) Remove existing flooring, flooring adhesive, and vinyl cove base in an approximately 350 sq. ft. efficiency apartment and an approximately 500 sq. ft. one bedroom unit. a) Portions of the floor tile and or adhesive have tested positive for asbestos in within the building. b) The flooring to be removed is located in apartment # 511 and 910 located at 42 Church St., Cortland N.Y. 13045. 2) The abatement contractor shall provide. a) Safe removal of designated floor tile, tile adhesive, vinyl cove base and landfill disposai of removed materials from said locations. b) The apartment floor will be taken down to original concrete as practical. c) Contractor will exercise due diligence to follow all federal, state, local laws, regulations rules and ordinances that apply to this abatement. d) Apply proper safety measures to protect workers and CHA residents and staff. e) Install plastic tent/ barriers around the work space. Pull and maintain negative air on the work site as required. f) Clean up ofwork site and proper disposal of all materials. Maintain proper signage for the project. h) Copies of all documentation completed by the contractor must be provided to CHA.
