Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Keene, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
*As of April 12, 2024, the project has been awarded to Bill's Concrete & Construction with a bid amount of $288,800. The proposed improvements replace asphalt sidewalks with concrete on the following streets. a. Belmont Ave, east side from Baker Street to Brown Street, approximately 630 S.Y. of 4" and 8" thick concrete sidewalks. b. River Street, east side from Mayflower Drive to Leverett Street, approximately 360 S.Y. of 4" and 8" thick concrete sidewalks. c. School Street east side from Gilbo Ave to Emerald Street, approximately 220 S.Y. of 4" and 8" thick concrete sidewalks. d. Winchester Street, south side east of Butler Court and from Winchester Court to the multi-use trail. approximately 200 S.Y. of 4" and 8" thick concrete sidewalks. Questions regarding this project shall be directed to Purchasing & Contract Services Manager, in writing, via the current project Electronically Engineers estimate is $295,100.00. All BIDS must be made on the required BID Sheet of Unit Prices showing Unit Price and Total and a Grand Total for all items. All blank spaces must be filled in, in ink or typed, and the BID Form must be fully completed and executed. Only one copy of the BID form is required. A conditional or qualified BID will not be accepted. The City expressly reserves the right to reject a bid from any Contractor who has within the last year, or is currently not, in substantial compliance, as determined by the City Manager, with the time requirements or other significant provisions of a City of Keene contract. This provision shall in no way be construed to prohibit the City Manager from rejecting any bid for other reasons. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive technical or legal deficiencies, and accept any proposal that it deems in the best interest of the City. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof upon written or verbal request of the Bidder, provided written confirmation of any verbal withdrawal(with the signature of the Bidder)is placed in the mail and postmarked prior to the time set for Bid Opening. Bid documents and security of any Bidder withdrawing his bid in accordance with the foregoing conditions will be returned. Bids, when opened, shall be irrevocable for a period of ninety (90) calendar days following the bid opening date. Following a review of all bids by the City Manager, that official will award the Contract to the best responsible bidder. The City Managers judgment shall be final and the right is reserved by the City, through its City Manager to reject any or all bids as he/she may determine and to waive defects in form or minor irregularities where the best interest of the City would be served. BIDDERS must satisfy themselves of the accuracy of the estimated quantities in the BID Schedule by examination of the site and a review of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS including all drawings, specifications, and any addenda. After BIDS have been submitted, the BIDDER shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantities of WORK or of the nature of the WORK to be done. The failure or omission of any BIDDER to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any BIDDER from any obligation in respect to its BID. Each BID must be accompanied by a BID bond payable to the OWNER for five percent of the total amount of the BID. A certified check may be used in lieu of a BID BOND. The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the acceptance of his bid. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed as follows: 60 calendar days for substantial completion 90 calendar days for contract completion
