Site work for a road / highway in Inverness, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

As of May 7, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on May 21st, 2024. Description of Work: All Work for the Project Shall Be Constructed in Accordance With the Bid Specifications Prepared by the Owner and Section 00200 Design Intent Document Sign Design Details and Specification Dated 01 December 2023 by Gais Community Solutions Group and Made Part of the Project Specifications in These Bid Documents. Bids shall be submitted for site inspection, equipment, fabrication, furnishing, delivering and installing approximately 90 signs, including labor for the work, which generally involves the following activities: design, fabrication, permitting, installation and warranty of approximately ninety (90) signs as follows, including Two (2) Type A City Landscape Gateway; Five (5) Type B City Portrait Gateway; Five (5) Type C Downtown Gateway; Twenty-five Type D Large Vehicular; Twenty-four Type E Small Vehicular; Eight (8) Parking Directional; Seven (7) Pedestrian Kiosk; and Seven (7) Type H Pedestrian Directional. Pre-fabrication work will require a field visit to the proposed sign location to document the existing conditions that will need to be addressed prior to installation. This will include proposed layout, utility locations, grading, drainage and permitting if required. Project will include electrical alterations to provide lighting for two (2) Type A Landscape City Gateway signs. ORDER OF WORK: Section 00300, Bid Form, is separated into Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 comprises the Type A, Type B and Type C Gateway Signs. Phase 2 includes the Type D through Type H Vehicular Signes and Kiosk. A separate Notice to Proceed will be issued for each of the two (2) Phases of the project. The timeframe and start date for each Phase will be agreed upon by the owner and selected contractor with consideration of estimated time for fabrication and installation of the signage included with each Phase. ONTRACT TIME: Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 270 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion (300 days total). Question Deadline 03/20/2024 at 2:00 PM ET All project questions must be submitted in writing No further questions will be accepted or answered after that date. The responses by Addenda will be directed to each person that attended the pre-bid meeting on March 25, at 4:00 pm E.S.T. All questions concerning the bid documents shall be directed to the Owner by email to the City Clerk Susan Jackson at at sjackson@lnverness.gov BID SECURITY: A 5% Bid Bond will be required for this project. AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price, if it exceeds $100,000. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. The City of Inverness reserves the right to waive formalities, waive any technical defects, reject any and all bids, and accept any bid which represents the lowest and best offer to the City.
