This will be a one (1) year agreement to provide manufacturing and delivering to City owned and operated pavers, asphaltic material as specified. Deadline for Questions (EST) (No Questions entertained past the deadline) 3/6/24 10:00 AM. The work included consists of manufacturing and delivering to City owned and operated pavers, asphaltic material as herein specified. The asphalt mixtures shall be leveling (13A - approx. 36,000 ton) and wearing (36A - approx. 54,000 ton) and shall be consistent with mixtures specified in Articles II, III, and IV of these specifications. Specifically, the work shall consist of the Primary Vendor owning and operating an asphalt plant, providing all raw materials needed to manufacture the specified asphalt mixtures, manufacturing asphalt mixtures, and transporting & unloading the completed mixtures into the City of Detroit owned pavers. The work shall also include provisions for regular QC testing of all mixtures, in accordance with the attached specifications, and random materials testing and inspections by City Engineering personnel to ensure that the delivered material is in compliance with the approved mixture designs.
