The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a bid response for HMA Pavement Repairs IH-39 - State Project. The County intends to use the results of this process to award a contract(s) or issuance of purchase order for the product(s) and or services(s) stated above. Vendor Question Submission Deadline: March 21, 2024, 4:00pm Question Response Deadline:March 26, 2024, 4:00pm TERMINATION DATE Asphaltic paving on these projects shall be terminated on or before end of day Thurs. May 23, 2024. Any work performed beyond that date will be only by written permission of WisDOT. GENERAL Contractors are invited to submit bids for the repair of pavement areas on IH-39. Work includes sawcutting pavement, milling 2" and placing HMA to bring pavement surface back to original elevation and replacing epoxy pavement markings disturbed by repair work. All work and materials supplied under this proposal shall conform to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2024 edition (hereinafter referred to as the "Standard Specifications"), and all subsequent revisions and supplementary specifications, of the Wisconsin Division of Highways, Department of Transportation. The special provisions in this proposal shall supplement and take precedence over the Standard Specifications. The Dane County Highway and Transportation Department, the issuer of this bid proposal, shall hereinafter be referred to as "the County." WisDOT will be administering their own contract. All projects included in this proposal are subject to available funds and budget restraints. Approximate limits of repairs are shown in green below. Actual limits will be marked on the shoulder with paint by WisDOT. Although not anticipated, areas of EBS shall be addressed if encountered. The Pricing Table includes line items for Base Aggregate Dense 1.25" for fill material and Geogrid in the event additional reinforcement is needed. The engineer or inspector on-site will determine limits of EBS if encountered.
