Renovation of a residential development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The selected contractor shall be required to comply with all of the terms, conditions, and provisions of a written contract ("Contract"), on file in office of the Commissioner of the Department of City Development ("Commissioner"), which shall incorporate all of the terms and conditions contained in this Request for Quotes Package ("RFQ Package"), consisting of this Official Notice, Request for Quotes, Living Wage Affidavit, Detail Specifications (and any documents referenced therein), and Performance and Payment Bond forms (if needed), and any Addenda issued. The project shall be completed within 60 days of execution of the contract and receipt by the contractor of the Notice to Proceed. The liquidated damages for failure to complete this Project in 60 days are $150.00 per day Living Wages of not less than $13.71 per hour must be paid to all workers employed on this contract, and the Affidavit of Compliance contained in the RFQ Package should be signed and notarized and submitted along with the Request for Quotes form. The selected contractor must comply with all of the provisions of MCO section 310-13, and must submit any required forms, (including a Compliance Report within 10 days following completion of the work or every 3 months, whichever comes first, in relation to the Living Wage requirements. The Request for Quotes form for the labor, equipment and material hereinafter described and signed Addenda (if applicable), shall be submitted to the Department of City Development, ("DCD"), VIA E-MAIL to DCDPurchasing@milwaukee.gov, no later than March 21, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. CDT. Quotes received after the date and time above specified will not be opened and read and will be deemed non-responsive. Please contact Celeste Jantz, Purchasing Agent - Senior, at cejantz@milwaukee.gov if you need more information. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT GUARANTY: The selected contractor shall execute the Contract, and the performance and payment guaranty described herein, within ten days after the date on the Notice of Award. For contracts whose cost exceeds $10,000 but does not exceed $25,000, the selected contractor shall provide, prior to or at the time of execution of the Contract, either irrevocable letters of credit or performance and payment bonds. Such letter of credit or bonds shall be in an amount not less than 50% of the contract price. For contracts whose cost exceeds $25,000, the selected contractor shall provide, prior to or at the time of execution of the Contract, performance and payment bonds in an amount equal to at least 100% of the contract price, and shall be conditioned on the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment to each person entitled . All letters of credit or bonds described above shall be conditioned on the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment to each person entitled thereto of all the claims for labor performed and materials furnished under the Contract to be used or consumed in making the improvement or performing the work, as provided in the Contract and this section. No assignment, modification, or change in the Contract, or change in the work covered thereby, or any extension of time for completion of the work may release the sureties on the bonds described above.
