Bids for construction of Wastewater Treatment Improvements at Hart Memorial Elementary School, 1400 North Jackson Highway, Hardyville, Kentucky, will be received by Hart County Board of Education (Owner) at 25 Quality Street, Munfordville, Kentucky 42765. The project is to construct certain improvements to the wastewater treatment system at Hart Memorial Elementary School. Work activities include, but are not limited to, installing sediment and erosion control measures; clearing and grubbing; excavation, grading and filling; installing recirculation tank with duplex pump system (pumps and controls) and flow splitter device; modifying the existing effluent chamber including installing tablet chlorinator, tablet de-chlorinator, air compressor with diffuser, and v-notch weir; arranging with local electric utility for service and installing panels, conduit, and wiring for electrically powered devices; installing piping and fittings; and installation of appurtenances in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, negotiate with any or all Bidders, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The work on this Project shall be complete and ready for final inspection by July 31, 2024. The tentative Notice of Award date is March 25, 2024. The tentative Notice to Proceed date is April 1, 2024. All envelopes are to contain the Contractor's license number and license expiration date. Envelopes without this information will not be opened. Bids in the case of a corporation not chartered in Kentucky must be accompanied by proper certificate evidencing that such corporation is authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Before award is made to a Bidder not a resident of Kentucky, such Bidder shall designate a proper agent in Kentucky on whom service can be made in the event of litigation. Bids shall remain valid for thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Upon award of contract, the successful Contractor will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount.
