Site work for a municipal facility in Tucson, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

Summary. The Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR), on behalf of the University of Arizona, is soliciting proposals from interested vendors to furnish the University with drip irrigation systems in Southern Arizona that will be installed on approximately 25 different 30 to 70 acre farms. Installation will mostly be in March for April plantings. We plan on installing 5 to 6 systems annually. Coverage and Participation. The intended coverage of this RFP and any Agreement resulting from this solicitation shall be for the use of all Departments at the University of Arizona. The other State Universities, Arizona State University (ASU) and Northern Arizona University (NAU), along with Pima Community College (PCC) and any other educational institution or Governmental entity may access an Agreement resulting from this solicitation issued and administered by the University of Arizona. Technical Questions/Inquiries due no later than 12:00 PM, MST 3/08/2024 Questions, Communications and Inquiries between the University and Vendors. All Vendor inquiries, questions and requests for clarification related to this RFP are to be directed, in writing via the box link below, ONLY to the Buyer listed below. Once this RFP has been sent out, Vendors are not to contact any University Department, other than Procurement and Contracting Services, concerning this RFP, or risk disqualification (see Section 3.7.1 above): https://arizona.app.box.com/f/b469bdfd1923420c9c665c3e94378792 If the vendor or any of the vendor's employees participating in this RFP need, or have questions about the University's accommodations for people with disabilities, please make arrangements with Celeste Kanzig at telephone # 520-621-3067 or email address cdkanzig@gmail.com. Such requests should be made as early as possible to allow time to arrange the accommodation(s) The University of Arizona has received funding from the USDA to work with growers in Southern Arizona to grow guayule instead of a crop they are currently growing. The goal is to teach 30 to 40 growers how to grow guayule. They will be paid to do so and will work closely with our Extension agents. Since water is becoming scarce in Southern Arizona, drip irrigation systems will be used to grow guayuale. The plan is to plant over 3000 acres in the next 5 years, and to purchase irrigation systems for these acres. It is anticipated that each grower will grow between 30 and 70 acres of guayule. The irrigation systems will typically be installed in March, since guayule is planted in April. Once the vendors are chosen, they will be asked to submit a bid for a particular farm. The bid will include the cost of the infield irrigation, the filtration and pumping system as well as the labor for installation of the system. The University reserves the right to this RFP award to multiple vendors.
