The district reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularities The Grand Island Public Schools are requesting sealed Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for the refinishing of the West Gymnasium at Grand Island Senior High School, 2124 N. Lafayette Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803 The gymnasium floor is approximately 19,800 square feet. Contractors are required to field verify floor measurements. The floor will be available for refinishing on Monday, July 8 th, 2024. The floor is to be turned over to the school by Monday, August 12 th, 2024. Any deviations to this schedule must be approved by the district. The selected contractor will be responsible for setting up a work schedule with Mr. Chris Ladwig, Athletic Director, and Al Hayman, Head Custodian. Mr. Chris Ladwig will consult with the selected contractor for game time layouts. Basic floor markings and graphics are attached. A complete floor layout will need to be submitted and approved prior to starting the project. Furnish all labor, equipment, and supplies to totally sand, reline, and finish the floor. a. Contractor shall furnish and use the appropriate grades of sandpaper to remove finish and lines so that the result is a smooth surface. b. Contractor shall provide and apply 2 coats of MFMA approved Bona DTS Seal. c. Contractor shall provide and apply 2 coats of MFMA approved Bona Drive Finish. d. No floor product substitution allowed.
