Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Fairburn, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of April 26, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work includes the Construction of a passive, public greenspace on the City- owned property, located at the intersection of Golightly Street and W. Campbellton Street. The greenspace shall include walking trails, a pedestrian footbridge, a small picnic pavilion, seating option, and aesthetically pleasing green infrastructure. Work also includes related grading, clearing and removal of invasive species, and removal of trees as needed. All work must be completed within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Questions of a technical nature should be in writing to the City of Fairburn's Purchasing Manager, Tyra Little via electronic mail, tlittle@fairburn.com. All materials furnished and/or installed by the Contractor shall be furnished only by Georgia Department of Transportation certified source and shall be within the limits, tolerances, formulae, etc., as established by the Georgia Department of Transportation. The asphaltic cement used in all asphaltic concrete mixtures shall have a heat stable anti-stripping additive in accordance with Section 828.2A of the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021 Edition. Concrete used for construction shall have a minimum 3,000 psi compressive strength at 28 days (ASTM C 39); a 2-inch to 4-inch slump (ASTM C 143) and, 3 to 6 percent air content (ASTM C 231 or C 173) and shall comply with ASTM C 94. Control and testing of materials will be the contractors' responsibility for all mix provided in accordance with sections 106, 400, 402,432, 652 and related special provisions of the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications. The cost of such testing shall be included in the unit price of the material being used, and no additional compensation will be made. Pursuant to CDBG requirements, all labor and work shall conform to the federal requirements provided in the contract requirements attached. The City of Fairburn does not commit to furnishing full-time inspection or testing of the work in progress, or of material sources. Lack of inspection and/or testing by the City will in no way relieve the Contractor of their responsibility to provide quality workmanship in accordance with the Specifications. No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of 60 days after the time designated for receipt of Bids or until notified by Owner, whichever is sooner.
