Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

A brief summary of the Work involved in this Contract is for the rehabilitation of Bridge 126 and Bridge 464 and includes but is not limited to: Bridge 126: - Replacement of asphalt and waterproofing on deck; - Replacement of abutment bearings complete with reconstruction of bearing seats; - Removal of existing deck diaphragms and ballast walls, and construction of new semi-integral deck extensions; - Removal and reconstruction of upper portion of wingwalls and parapet walls near deck ends, to accommodate the new semi-integral deck extension; - Removal of expansion joint assemblies; - Replacement of curbs and steel beam guide rails on approaches; - Removal of deck drains and patching of deck slab around deck drain locations; - Widening of the west sidewalk over the bridge; - Replacement of approach slabs and sidewalks on approach slabs, and parapet walls on wing walls; - Installation of tie rods to connect wingwall ends - Restoration of disturbed native areas with seeding; and, - Restoration of embankments with rip-rap and placement of rip-rap in front of abutments for scour protection. - Pavement markings. Bridge 464: - Remove deteriorated concrete and patch repair in culvert walls and top slab within the culvert barrel; - Sealing and injection of cracks in the culvert barrel as well as leaking construction joints; - Restoration of native areas with seeding; and, - Placement of rip-rap on embankments to limit surficial erosion Documents can be obtained at https://hamilton.bidsandtenders.ca/
