VDOT is soliciting bids from qualified firms to perform flushing and/or vacuuming of storm water drainage structures. These water drainage structures are located within Prince William County along the right of way on various primary, secondary and residential routes maintained by VDOT in accordance with this invitation for bids. Work will be on an on-call, as-needed basis. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, experienced and qualified operators, traffic control, tools, equipment, fuel, water, accessories, and all incidentals necessary to perform on-call, as-needed vacuuming, flushing, and cleaning services to drainage structures such as pipes, drop inlets, ditch lines, catch basins, manholes, storm drains, sewers, culverts, and other drainage structures within Prince William Residency. Standards of Work Performed: The Contractor shall perform all work in such a manner that all foreign material that is not part of the structure (i.e., stone, grit, grease, sludge, sand, dirt, road debris, sediment, leaves, tree limbs, etc.) is removed from the assigned structure to the satisfaction of the VDOT Contract Administrator or designee. Location Of Work: 1. The Contractor shall perform services for the Area Headquarters (AHQ) locations within Prince William Residency. AHQ locations are as follows: Gainesville Area Headquarters 14831 Lee Highway Gainesville, VA 20155, Dumfries Area Headquarters 18200 Jefferson Davis Highway Dumfries, VA 22026, Lake Ridge Area Headquarters 13000 Chinn Park Drive Woodbridge, VA 22192, Manassas Area Headquarters 10228 Residency Road Manassas, VA 20110 Period of Contract: One Year From Date of Award With Two (2) One-year Optional Renewal Periods. VDOT reserves the right to determine qualified operators. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Steve Ferguson at Steven2.Ferguson@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 2:30 PM EST on March 5, 2024. Event Bid open description: Bids will be opened at the time stated on the electronic posting and the reminders page of this solicitation, and their contents per the Virginia Public Procurement Act and Commonwealth of Virginia Vendors Manual, will be made public for the information of bidders and others interested. The bid opening will begin promptly at the time indicated. At the start of the conference the VDOT Representative will conduct a roll call to identify the individuals participating on the call. Participants will be requested to provide their individual name, company name and contact information during the roll call.
